Auctioneer Arend gets surprised by the return of his son Kasper after more than twenty years of absence. Kasper wants to reconnect with his father and find his long-lost mother, but Arend has closed himself off emotionally.

Claude Ventura's documentary Chambre 12, Hotel de Suede, was made for the French television channel Arte in 1993. Ventura checks into room twelve in the hotel's final week of operation: it is demolished the day after he checks out. Room twelve was one of the principal locations for Jean-Luc Godard's New Wave masterpiece Breathless, and Ventura's documentary investigates the production of Godard's film.

Thomas Erdbrink, who speaks fluent Persian (and therefore Dari) after years as a correspondent in Iran, presents various stories of Afghans. He speaks with Taliban fighters, courageous women, and the victims of the American bombings, among others.

Twelve-year-old Luuk Bos has always believed that his father is the Strongest Man in the World. His mother Dorien, who raised him on her own, used to tell him the most wonderful stories about it. During a visit to a local Strongest Man competition, he meets a participant, René Doornbos, who, like him, has red hair. Luuk thinks he has found his father.
